Meeting with Congressman Marsha Blackburn and her Legislative Director, Cara Dalmolin to discuss implications of USPSTF mammogram recommendations and how the House Healthcare Reform Bill will impact access to early detection screenings.

Meeting with John Goetz, Healthcare LA for Senator Bob Corker to discuss healthcare reform and the Senate Bill’s impact on early detection and prevention.

Meeting with Curtis Swager, Healthcare LA, and Nick Magallanes, Legislative Correspondent, for Senator Lamar Alexander to discuss Senate Healthcare reform bill and the impact on early detection and prevention.

3/20- National Half Marathon (Washington, DC)

3/21-HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HEALTHCARE DEBATE- Witness to the historic healthcare reform debate and related votes. Invited to sit in the Gallery in the U.S. House of Representatives Chamber during the healthcare reform debate.

5/1-Luke will teach a cooking class at Ingredients in Clarksville-proceeds from the class will benefit the American Cancer Society!

7/30-Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center-Songs from the Heart Concert Cancer patients from VICC attend a two day workshop where they are encouraged to write song lyrics about their experience.
